CTC is a SCAM!
Example: Microsoft pays 50 LPA to freshers from NIT or IIT!
So now you guys will take your calculator and check:
45 lakhs / 12 months = 3.75 lakhs per month!
3.75 lakh per month seems true, but the in-hand salary one gets with a 45 LPA package,
after deductions like PF, TAX, etc., is only ₹80,000 - ₹90,000 per month.
(Some even get less!)
Shocked?
Sorry, but that’s the reality.
Here’s a reality check: the total 50 LPA is broken down as follows:
• Base salary: ₹15 Lakhs
• Yearly Bonus: ₹3,00,000
• Joining bonus: 5 Lakhs
• Stocks: ₹22,00,000 over 4 years → ₹5,50,000 per year
So the actual recurring CTC is closer to ₹24LPA, not ₹50 LPA!
Not only Microsoft — most product-based software companies inflate their CTCs to
30, 40, or even 50 LPA using similar tactics.
👉 You should be comparing **Gross salary**, which includes Base + Bonuses,
not the inflated CTC.
Gross salary is the total amount earned before any deductions like taxes or insurance.
